Membership

All Indiana Optometrists are invited to become a member of the Indiana Optometric Association (IOA).

Organized optometry exists to preserve, protect and advance our legislated profession. It also offers valuable benefits that are only available to members. As an Association we provide the very latest credible information, resources and advocacy to keep you practicing in the most efficient, effective and up-to-date way. Indiana OPTOMETRY's ability to serve the profession and our communities is directly related to the size of our membership base.

Affiliate Associate Membership

Optometrists who are members of the AOA and an affiliate optometric association are invited to apply for membership in the Indiana Optometric Association. Through your membership in your home state association and the American Optometric Association, you have already declared your dedication to the profession. Associate membership is available to optometrists who practice outside the state of Indiana. Whether you practice in an adjoining state or have other ties to Indiana, we want you as a part of our organization.

Members in this category are entitled to all membership benefits except that they may not hold office and have no voting privileges. Payment of $150.00 annual dues must be

submitted with your application. Payments received after September 30 will be applied to membership for the following year. You may submit your payment with the attached application or pay online and fax your application to us.

Individual Associate Membership for Non-ODs

You can demonstrate your support of optometry through an individual associate membership in Indiana OPTOMETRY. Associate membership offers you the opportunity to grow your relationships with member optometrists as a fellow member of Indiana OPTOMETRY. Membership in Indiana OPTOMETRY is the number one way to show that you support the interests of Optometrists and the patients they serve.

As an associate member, you will receive a listing on the Indiana OPTOMETRY website as an associate member and the quarterly newsletter. Memberships are in the name of the individual, rather than in the name of a company or corporation. Payment of $400.00 annual dues must be submitted with your application. Payments received after September 30 will be applied to membership for the following year. You may submit your payment with the attached application or pay online and fax your application to us.
