Part I.  Lens Types, Designs, Uses & Terminology
The different contact lens types and designs will be illustrated and discussed.  This course will focus on the use of lens as well as their parameters, terminology and designs.
 
Part II.  Lens Inspection & Verification
Basic lens inspection techniques will be illustrated during this segment of the course.
 
Part III.  Lens Care & Patient Education
This segment of the course will cover the formulation of contact lens solutions and specific lens care systems for both hydrogel and rigid lenses.  The advantages, disadvantages, potential problems and proper use of the systems will be explained.  Different techniques for placement and removal of hydrogel and rigid lenses as well as recentering rigid lenses will be demonstrated.
