9 a.m.-Noon - New Horizons in Glaucoma
Murray Fingeret, O.D., St. Albans, New York
Recent advances in diagnostic technologies and therapeutic modalities have altered how glaucoma is diagnosed and managed. This lecture will review some of the new technologies, medications and philosophies and how they impact glaucoma care.

1-2 p.m. - Glaucoma Update and New Technology
Murray Fingeret, O.D., St. Albans, New York
This course will review new forms of technology that are becoming commonplace in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Different imaging instruments and how they fit in the diagnostic paradigm will be described. Also, the newer forms of perimetry and their role in diagnosing glaucoma will be discussed. Finally, the newer methods used to evaluate the anterior chamber as well as measure intraocular pressure and corneal thickness will be discussed.

Boomers & Beyond
Heidi Wagner, O.D., M.P.H., FAAO, Westin, Florida
This course will review clinical applications of presbyopic contact lens fitting, with an emphasis on hydrogel multifocals. Pertinent patient communication issues will be imbedded within the curriculum.

3:30-4:30 p.m. - Pediatric Contact Lens Fitting:
Managing Teens and Tweens
Heidi Wagner, O.D., M.P.H., FAAO, Westin, Florida
This course will review clinical applications of pediatric contact lens fitting, with an emphasis on managing teens and tweens. Examples of elective and medically indicated contact lens wear will be illustrated in a grand rounds format.
1 IOB Hour
4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Dedication of IUSO's new clinic
This ceremony will take place in Whittenberger Auditorium and will include IU President Michael A. McRobbie and other dignitaries of Indiana University. After the ceremony, a reception will be held at the new clinic and tours will be available.

9-10 a.m. - Sleep Apnea and the Eye

Sleep apnea is a common disorder that has been increasingly associated with eye diseases. This course discusses present understanding of the interactions that occur between sleep-disordered breathing and the eye, with particular attention to possible links with glaucoma, nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, papilledema, and floppy eyelid syndrome.

This course provides practical, easy to use information for doctors to use daily with their patients to make well-informed refractive choices. Case presentations will be used to stimulate discussion, and current standard of care procedures and future trends will be reviewed.

1:30-2:30 p.m. - Dry Eye Disease: Lids,
Inflammation and Management

Dry Eye Disease comprises several distinct clinical entities including primary inflammatory, eyelid/meibomian related, contact lens and autoimmunice related dry eye. Each type of dry eye has specific signs and symptoms and should be managed in a tailored approach. The impact of allergy and non-prescription therapy will be discussed.

2:30-4:30 p.m. - Congenital and Acquired Diseases
of the Optic Nerve

This course will familiarize primary eyecare providers with the array of congenital and acquired optic nerve disorders and syndromes with emphasis on the appearance of optic nerve disorders and their relative clinical importance ranging from normal congenital varaitions to ocular and systemic emergencies. Clinical integration of landmark studies will be emphasized.
